Hello! I have worked closely with MND Victoria for over 2 years now and have had the privilege of seeing first hand the incredible work they do to support and care for Victorian’s living with MND. From day dot they arrive at your door ready to provide advice, care, advocacy and (the expensive) vital equipment required to live with this terminal illness - all for free! I have also had the privilege of getting to know the amazing and strong individuals and families living with this terrible disease every day. The worst part of this disease is how it traps you inside of your own body. Taking away your ability to move, eat, breathe and speak, all while your cognitive function remains untouched. That’s why I have chosen to take part in The Shut Up Challenge. On the 28th October I will go 12 hours without speaking. All money raised will support people living with MND by funding the direct care, support and vital assistive equipment required to help them live better for longer.
