Why AM I fundraising
With my life long darling friend Greg in my heart who we heartbreakingly lost to MND on July 8th, 2024, I am choosing to go without my voice in support of those who have lost theirs to motor neurone disease (MND). This disease is an insidious and cruel disease. This disease takes everything away from those who have MND, including their voice. There is no cure. It has an average life expectancy of 27 months from diagnosis with a rapid decrease in quality of life. Please donate to help create an awareness of this beast and help support others who are fighting MND. Until there is a cure, there is care. For 44 years, MND Victoria has provided care and support services for those living with MND - from equipment, support groups, support coordinators, counselling service and more.

I am overwhelmingly grateful to each and everyone of you. Your support means so much. My place of work, a small local public primary school with amazing teachers who have always supported me in this difficult challenge and the kids at school 'shushing' with me yesterday was truly something special Both in the classroom and walking around with their whiteboards communicating with each other without speaking was truly incredible.
